Faith in accordance with God's will

This topic has been in my heart for several months as though in a closed state, and it was not possible for me to write about it. Now I feel that the obstacles have been removed from my heart and the teaching opened up in my heart in such a form that I am able to share it through this text.

Different churches, denominations and believers have various interpretations and teachings concerning Biblical faith. They include healthy and incorrect teachings.

The purpose of this text is to study what the Bible teaches about faith in accordance with the Bible. In this text, I will also study how faith appears in the Bible. The goal is not to process false teachings as if they were the contents of trash in a trash bin or a landfill site, but to examine what Biblical faith is.

However, it is obvious that when we study Biblical faith, we understand that distorted faith has harmful consequences. Test this text by praying and comparing the text to what the Bible teaches. My teaching on this topic is not all-inclusive, but it intends to provide signposts to help you personally to start studying the Bible profoundly and to search for the will of God.

The fulfillment of God's will

A very important goal of Biblical faith is that the will of God becomes real in the life of the disciples of the Lord Jesus. A ministry should be given by God (it should not be man-made). Biblical gifts and anointment must function by the power of the Holy Spirit (they should not be man-made or caused by evil spirits). When you understand in practice what the Bible teaches, the faith in your heart will adhere to the Bible. You will learn to love God and your neighbours and to support the preaching of the Gospel in a position that God has planned for you. All that is the consequence of the faith when you to live in practice in accordance with the will of God.

1 Tim 2:
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Hebr 13:
20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The Lord Jesus (Messiah) is the focal point  of the Gospel and Biblical faith. Biblical faith is always about the fulfilment of God's will. Believers should believe in the Lord Jesus and the Father God as the Bible says (the will of God). The real and right will of God is found in the Bible.

The will of God can happen in your life. It can come true through Bible teaching and the power of the Holy Spirit when you believe in God and are obedient to Him. For the sake of Jesus' atonement on the cross, God is working in you both to will and to work for the sake of His good will so that you can follow the will of God in your life. The atonement by the Lord Jesus is the focal point of everything, and the will of God shall will come true in the lives of everyone who are obedient in faith to God.

Matt 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Joh 7:
38 whoever believeth in me, as the scriptures have said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living waters.
39 (this he said of the spirit, which they who believe in him were to receive: for the spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

The Lord Jesus said that people get lost and err if they do not know the will of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. Believers can only know and understand the will of God when they believe in the Lord Jesus as the Bible says.

When you believe in the Bible as it is written, you will learn to understand how the Holy Spirit works. The Bible teaches us how the Holy Spirit works and the Holy Spirit works as it is written in the Bible.

Many people say that the Bible does not tell and teach everything to us. Therefore, we must find the whole truth from good religious books and teachings by believers so that we can understand what the Bible does not say. This idea is non-Biblical and incorrect.

Of course, you can read good Biblical books, but you have to test and discern their message by the Word of God (the Bible). I am sure that God wants you to read Bible more frequently than good Biblical books because only the Bible contains the perfect truth.

2 Pet 1:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The Bible especially advises and orders us to believe in the Lord Jesus as the Bible says. The Bible also teaches that God has given us all things concerning to life and godliness. Everything that God has given to us concerning the life of faith we have by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God (Bible).

Fulfilment of God's will cannot fully come true in our life if we do not believe in the Lord Jesus as the Bible says. When you believe in the Lord as the  Bible says, you will start doing what the Word says and will not only listen to the Word. This means that God works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. For this reason, you can make work of faith by the power and effect of God according to how faith has increased and grown in you by the grace of God.

The Fulfilment of God's will in our life takes place by the growth of faith because we cannot receive more until we have grown by the grace of God.

Hebr 12:
1 ¶ Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
4 ¶ Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

The Bible teaches that sin can easily beset us. The life of faith is a process of growth  and particularly in the beginning, believers have not learned  to discern good and evil things. Therefore, they can easily get deceived and for this reason, it is very important that believers have a fellowship with the congregation which is based on God's love and truth or is connected to other believers who love the Lord in truth. Sisters and brothers in the Lord Jesus who have been saved for a longer time help young believers be rooted and built up in the Lord Jesus.

Believers who have been saved for a long time and all believers can be easily  deceived if they do not believe in the Lord Jesus as the Bible says. Therefore, they can receive wrong teachings and manifestations of evil spirits and live by the flesh according to sinful things if they do not believe in the Lord Jesus as the Bible says.

In the Bible, it is not written in vain that sin can easily beset believers. We have to take this teaching very seriously because if we do not believe in the Lord Jesus as the Bible says, we shall be deceived away from the will of God and from believing in Him.

The eyes, hearts, minds and thoughts of believers must be attached to the Lord Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith. In this context, the Bible refers to Jesus' death on the cross. When the focal point  of your life of faith is the Messiah, the Lord Jesus and His blood, death and resurrection for the remission of sins, your life is centered on Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit, believing in the Lord Jesus as the Bible says. It is very difficult to deceive you because the focus of your life of the faith is in the right place. In that way, God can grow you to be rooted in the Lord Jesus.

I have noticed that among many believers, there  is confusion and conflicts because they have not internalized the grace of God and the atonement of the Lord Jesus. Therefore, they are very responsive to deceptions and non-Biblical doctrines. They do not have the assurance of salvation in their hearts and have not learned to understand the grace of God. Therefore, they do not know how the Holy Spirit works in the hearts of believers.

Those who are uncertain about their salvation and do not know how God works in their hearts and what the truth of the Bible is, run after all kinds of deceitful doctrines and strange manifestations. The deceivers promise rapid results: that you can very quickly achieve the power of "a specially anointed super believer."

When the foundation of faith is not working as it should, believers are very responsive to accept wrong doctrines, which promise the power of God, gifts, success and prosperity. It is unfortunate that there are lots of these kinds of deceivers. If you believe in deceivers, the will of God cannot happen in your life. In many cases, the victims of deceivers get painful wounds in their heart, and recovering from them may take a long time.

It is very important to understand the value of the Lord Jesus' atonement and what the Bible teaches and how the Holy Spirit works in your heart. If you understand this, you have a very good starting point to grow in faith and learn to know the will of God. In this way, it is possible to see how the will of God comes true in your life.

God's will and His glory

John 7:
16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

The aforementioned teaching in the Bible is very important. If you want to do God's will, you will know and find the truth, and the will of God will happen in your life. Then you live in truth and wrong things will stay away from your heart.

This Bible passage reveals that those who speak of themselves and seeks their own glory, wanders as lost, believing in non-Biblical doctrines because they do not seek the glory of God. He will either totally drift away from the truth or in some essential places of doctrine, and activity of the Holy Spirit.

God has warned me that I should not seek my own glory, but the glory of God. I have seen that many believers have lost their way because they have sought their own glory. God does not share His glory with anyone, not in any way. I have seen that many believers have started to do the Lord's work with the right motives and with the  gifts that God has given to them.

However, they have become proud and have started to seek their own glory. For this reason, God has allowed that they have drifted away from the truth because those who seek their own glory, will always lose the truth and fall into deception because the Bible says this very clearly. I have seen apostasy and the falling of many believers, preachers, pastors, etc. because they have sought glory of their own.

Seeking for their own glory has deceived many believers to fall into false doctrines and the manifestation of evil spirits. Some of those who have sought their own glory have fallen into sexual sins. When you seek your own glory, you also seek people who admire and promote you. Then you are also in danger to practice sexual sins with those who admire you. Many marriages of believers have been broken because of sinful sex caused by promoting the flesh.

The key to the fulfillment of God's will

John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

Ps 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Acts 5:
30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

2 Cor 7:1 ¶ Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

1 John 5:14 ¶ And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

According to teaching of the Bible, the fear of God means that we must honor God. The Bible says that if we ask and pray to accord with the will of God, He will hear us and reply to us. If we ask and pray for things that are against His will, He will not hear and reply. Honoring God and being obedient to Him opens the way to the fulfilment of the will of God in our lives.

The Bible teaches that how you can understand, in the right way, what the Bibles teaches and what the will of God is.

The Bible says that if you keep the commandments of God, in other words, try to life in accordance of the commands (in the light of the New Covenant), this proves that  you love God. The Lord Jesus promised that He will reveal (truth and will of God) Himself to those who love God.

This means that none believer can  deeply understand the teachings of the word of God and the will of God, unless he or she loves God. Many believers love wrong doctrines and the traditions of people because they love iniquity and think that they love God. When they believe in and love  wrong doctrines, they do not find the truth and for this reason, they cannot understand what the Bible actually teaches.

Who you love shows what the target of your love is. The Lord Jesus said that the scribes and Pharisees honored God with their lips, but their hearts were far away from God. Because they did not love God in their hearts, so they went astray and fell into practicing wrong doctrines. They nullified the word of God and sought traditions of people and were deceived by evil spirits.

The Lord Jesus said that serving God on the basis of the traditions of people is vain. When someone does not love God, he or she can easily become interested in wrong doctrines and be deceived into believing them. Among believers, there is also such kind of faith, where they mix up and divide the target of their love. In some areas, they can love and believe God, but in some areas, they can love and believe in heretical doctrines. If you believe in wrong and heretic doctrines, you love these things and cannot  understand what the truth of God in these areas is.

We must take the words of Jesus seriously because you can only understand the teachings of the Bible in the right way if you love God.

Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Gal 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

The love of God is shed in the hearts of Jesus' discipled by the Holy Spirit so that they can love God and their neighbours. The love of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit leads you to understand and experience  that God loves you. With "experience", I do not mean to say that faith were based on your feelings, but that the love of God also affects and influences your feelings because the love of God is a powerful and strong experience which does not lead you into a condition of cold feelings and emotions.

Faith must be based on the truth of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, not on human emotions. The Bible says that the fruit of God's Spirit has various influences such as loving God and your neighbours, and joy, where Jesus' disciples rejoice of salvation and the goodness of God.

Only when you love God can you understand and live profoundly according to the will of God. The life of faith is based on the faith that God has given and where He is working by the Holy Spirit (according to the Word of God) the growth of faith, where you learn to love God more and more. In this way, the will of God can happen in your life will increase more and more.

Eph 4:
13 until we all become one and the same, in faith and in the knowledge of the son of god, and one complete man according to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Messiah:
14 and that we might not be children, agitated and turned about by every wind of the crafty doctrines of men who plot to seduce by their subtilty:
15 but that we might be established in our love; and that every thing in us might progress in the Messiah, who is the head:

Love created by God adheres to the truth. The love of God always goes hand in hand with the truth of  God, and vice versa.  You cannot find the will of God without His love and truth.

John 8:
31 ¶ Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

If and when you believe in the Lord Jesus as the Bible says, you indeed and truly are  His disciple and learn to know the truth. Living according to the truth will make you free from sins and heretical doctrines. You should also remember that you are not perfect, but you can grow into the image of God by the grace of God.

Faith according to the will of God effect in your heart towards God and the consequence of it is that God opens His word and will for you. The Holy Spirit works in your heart to want to do and to do so that in practice, you can adhere to the to the teachings of the Bible. In this way, the will of God can happen in your life.

Romans 8:13  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

The Bible teaches that the task of the Holy Spirit is to put the deeds of your flesh to death. In other words, the Holy Spirit works in your heart that you do not sin and wander according to your own will.

Believers who live in the flesh cannot act according to the will of God. Therefore, the will of God cannot happen in their lives. Only believers who accept to put to death the deeds of their flesh can see the will of God coming true in their lives.

The will of God can happen in your life only when you allow the Holy Spirit to rules your life. You should also remember that you cannot be perfect and sinless in this world, but by the grace of God, you can grow into the image of God.

When you are more profoundly growing and rooting to  the Lord Jesus, the will of God can happen in your life more and more.

Faith and the will of God in practice

1 Pe 1:
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
10 ¶ Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

If you want to serve your own flesh and will, you cannot hear and understand the will of God and the truth of God. It is very sad that some believers have begun living in the Holy Spirit, but have ended up to living in the flesh, deceived by sins, heretical teachings and the deceptions of evil spirits. In the beginning, they brought forth fruit to God, but then they thought that they were superheroes of the faith. For this reason, they fed their flesh by pride and fell into sins and started to eat and drink from the filthy sources of various sins.

If you recognised yourself in the description above, you can confess your sins, repent and return to God. The Lord God is calling you to come back to the way of the faith to carry good fruit for the glory of God by the Lord Jesus.

When you do not seek your own glory and do not feed the lust of the flesh in your heart, but love God and want to serve Him, God will open to you a fountain of blessings. The consequence of this is that you learn to know the truth of God and by faith, you can see how the will of God shall come true in your life.

Acts 22:
12 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,
13 Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.
14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth.
15 For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

We have read in the Acts of Apostles how powerfully God worked in the life of Paul. The Bible teaches that God chose Paul that he would know His will and see the Just One (Jesus) and hear the voice of God (hear the truth).

The secret and success of Paul's spiritual life was that he knew what the will of God is. For this reason, he was capable of laying his hands on the sick ones when God told him to pray for them. Moreover, for this reason, the sick ones were healed by the power of God's Spirit. Because Paul knew what the will of God is, he did not pray for those people that God did not want to heal. The will of God is to heal the sick ones, but, for example, the Lord Jesus did not heal some people because of their unbelief. In the Bible, we can also find healing cases, where people did not have faith, but despite that, God healed them.

Because Apostle Paul knew what the will of God is, he was capable of preaching the Gospel where the Lord sent him, and he was capable of teaching the Word of God as it is written in the Bible, he was capable of equipping the congregations to believing in the Lord Jesus, he was capable of praying for the sick ones that they healed, and he was capable of living by faith and seeing the mighty works of God.

Regarding faith, the Bible teaches us that our faith must be loyal to the will of God. Everything that we do by faith must follow the will of God. Therefore, it is very important to learn to understand and know what the will of God is. When you learn to understand the teaching of God's word and His truth, you will learn to understand what the will of God is, and you will learn to hear and understand God's voice.

Pro 2:
1 ¶ My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

When you seek the will of God and His teaching, you put it in the first place in your heart, so you will learn to understand and know God. In that way, you will find the will of God when you honour Him.

1 Kun 18:
30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.
31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:
32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.
34 And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.
35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.
36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.
38 Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.
39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.

The nation of Israel and Elijah were on Mount Carmel. Against Elijah, there were 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of the groves, which ate at Jezebel’s table.

Elijah built an altar with the stones to the name of the Lord, and he made a trench about the altar. Elijah put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.

And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that I have done all these things at your word.

Elijah asked that the Lord God would reply that the nation would see that the Lord is the God. Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

It is very important to understand that Elijah knew what the will of God was because the Lord God had told for Elijah to do what he did. Because Elijah knew what the will of God was  he was capable of doing the will of God by faith.

If it had not been the will of God, what he did, nothing would have happened even how hard and burning he would have prayed to God. Because it was the will of God and command of God, everyone saw the work of God, revealed before their eyes.

Many believers have (I also) understood incorrectly what faith is. Many believers believe that when they believe and start to do things, things will begin to happen, and God is with them, doing mighty works. Faith is about the will of God, and when you know what the will of God is and believe it, it will definitely come true according to the thoughts and schedule of God.

The Lord God said to Moses: lift you up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the middle of the sea.

Moses believed God and followed the will of God and the sea divided into two parts and the nation of Israel went into the middle of the sea on the dry ground on the other side of sea. Moses did not himself invent the idea of stretching out his hand over the sea and dividing it. If it had been about the faith of Moses and not about the will of God, nothing would have happened. Because it was the will and command of God, by faith of Moses, the sea divided into the two parts.

Many believers are command and demand that God must do what they are asking for and saying by faith. Some believers believe that when you say the words of faith, it will happen. They believe that it should happen based on that you use words of faith.

The Bible teaches that our faith must be always follow the will of God, and without the will of God, nothing can happen, despite how strongly we believe. When it is not  the will of God, and the believer tries to do something by his or her faith, it is about the will of a man, where he or she tries to command God to implement the will of man. This kind of non-Biblical action is a disguise from faith created by God even though it is about the will and faith of man, not the will of God.

1 John 5:
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 ¶ And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

The Bible teaches that when we ask and believe according to the will of God, it will happen either right away or later, but definitely it will happen according to schedule and will of God.

When you know what the will of God is, according to the Bible, it gives confidence to you to ask for and believe the things, trusting that the will of God will happen. It is very important to know that God has His own schedule for the things to come true.

Mark 6:
4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

In the area of healing the sick, believers have done a lot of damage. Many believers believe that everyone will be healed from their sickness by the prayer of faith. In many cases, the sick do not get healed. As a consequence,  the person who prayed for the sick person, accuses the sick person that he or she did not have enough faith to get healed and receive complete health. The sick one (also believers) will remain in a state of guilt and feel that they are weak and a bad person and for this reason, they fall deeply into despair.

The Lord Jesus did not heal all diseases and people and when He saw that someone did not have faith to receive the healing, He did not pray for them. When God heals someone, he or she will definitely be healed, and God always knows whom He will heal. God does not work in a such way that He comes to a sick person, promising healing and then starts to accuse and blame the sick one that he or she could not receive health. If and when God promises health to a sick person, He will heal him or her regardless of whether the sick person believes or does not believe that he or she can be healed.

The congregation needs genuine gifts of healing, because by that gift, we can know whom God wants to heal and when He is going to heal him or her. Believers cannot control the gift of healing so that they would be able to decide whom they are going to heal because it is the will of God whom He will heal. Nothing can happen without the will of God.

Many believers think that they can decide and control the gifts of God, but the Bible teaches that God inspires us to want to follow, and to follow His His will and this also applies to the gifts of God. When something is the will of God, you can act by faith according to the will of God, and it will happen.

If you were capable of acting by faith, doing things without the the will of God, it would not be about Biblical faith, but your flesh and your own will. It is really important to know that faith must always follow the will of God, and you cannot do anything by faith unless it is the will of God.

2 Tim 4:20 Erastus abode at Corinth: but Trophimus have I left at Miletum sick.

Many say that God commanded us to heal the sick, so it means that we must go and heal the sick. The Lord Jesus did not heal all people and apostle Paul did not pray God to heal all the sick.

It is true that believers should go and pray for the sick, but only those get healed that God wants to heal. For this reason, we should pray among believers, to receive the gift of healing, because by it, God will definitely heal everyone whom He wants to heal.

God can also heal a sick person without the gift of healing, and He has done that, but the fact is that God has especially given the gift of healing to the congregation and by it, everyone whom God wants to heal will definitely be healed. Once again, this depends on the will of God and faith which follows the will of God.

One thing we should remember is that there are situations, where the sick person does not have faith to  get healed, but still God heals them. According to the Bible, there were people who were possessed by evil spirits, and evil spirits troubled them by some diseases. God healed them despite them not having any  faith because evil spirits had bound them. In these kinds of situations, believers must have faith to cast out demons and heal diseases by faith and the power of the Holy Spirit, and the person in question will become free and be healed based on the will of God.

Many preachers and "healers" accuse the sick that they are not healed because they do not enough faith to get healed. In many cases, the faith of the person praying does not follow the will God and therefore, healing did not happen. Apostles prayed, and the sick got healed, and you cannot find any passages in the New Testament where apostles would have blamed a sick person that they had unbelief because they did not get healed by their prayers.

Through apostles, definite healing always took place where they prayed for the sick. The Lord God is the same mighty God today as He was in the time of apostles. As the congregation, we need to be humble to yield to His will to act by faith so that we can see His mighty works.

Acts 8:
26 ¶ And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.
29 Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot.
30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.
32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.
34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.
36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

Philip could go elsewhere to do his own things, but he heard God and went to preach the Gospel in that place which was the will and guidance of God. When he did that by faith according to the will of God, the consequence was that God saved a man of Ethiopia.

The Lord Jesus gave the command that believers should go into all the world, and preach the Gospel to everyone. When we do like this, many people can be saved by God. When God can lead the work of Gospel and when it is in accordance with the will of God, it shall produce good fruit.

Romans 1:
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;
10 Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

1 Cor 9:26 so I run accordingly, as not uncertainly; so I fight, as not beating air;

The precondition for success of the work of God's Kingdom is that believers pray that the will of God will happen, and that we walk and do the will of God at the right time. Apostle Paul said that he did not run as uncertainly, beating the air. He did not act quickly and hurry up to travel to Rome, but he prayed and requested that he would go when it is the will of God to do so.

This topic speaks very powerfully to my heart. Very often, many believers pray for something, wanting that it is from God, and they start doing things. And, often, very soon their work comes to a sudden stop because of quarrelling or that their work did not have any preconditions for success because it was not the will of God, even though they thought so. If things were taken in prayers before God and  assurance had not been received that it is the will of God, it will collapse because it has not acceptance from God.

Jer 31:9 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

By the grace of God, I have seen and participated in spiritual work that has been prayed for, and it has turned out to be the will of God. This kind of spiritual work will be successful, and God shall bless its actions.

God shall bless believers who are committed to prayer and are willing to do the will of God. When you are committed to prayer, you will find out the will of God and God shall lead you to see the fulfillment of God's works.

Ministry, faith and the will of God

1 Cor 1:1  ¶ Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

Paul's apostle ministry was the will of God because God had called him to work as an apostle. When ministry and gifts are given by God and His will, they work in such a way that the mighty works of God come true by them. This also means that the faith works and follows the will of God according to influence of God.

These days, it is a big problem that many believers declare themselves as apostles, preachers, prophets and so on without calling and without the will of God. This means that their ministry is the will of their flesh, not the will of God. Many believers say that they have gifts of God that God has not given to them, but they have thought that in their own flesh or someone has carnally prophesied it to them.

Many believers who have promoted themselves to some ministry without the calling of God are such a kind who criticize and attack others and are incapable of equipping the congregation, but exalt themselves by mocking others. They try to command others and to decide everything that happens in the congregation.

This kind of carnal behavior and action breaks the heart of believers and brings bitterness among them. This matter also has another difficult reverse side because some believers support this carnal action and think that it is real spiritual work even though it is sensual and carnal work.

We have to pay attention to one very important thing. God can give a calling to a believer to be a prophet or an apostle, and call the believer by prophesy, for example. The calling by prophecy is only the consciousness of the ministry, to which God has called the person, but it does not mean that the person is prepared to act as an apostle right from that moment.

When God gives a calling, He equips the believer that he or she can serve in that ministry. The believer shall grow in faith by the grace of God to work and act according to the calling that God has given to him or her. Too often, some believers are too impatient to wait for the preparation to the ministry and for this reason, they start too early to do things that they are not yet prepared and ready for. When the person starts to serve in a ministry unprepared, the person always mixes up things, causes confusion and breaks the hearts of others because the person does not yet have the ability to serve in that ministry.

Wait for the time of God, that He has prepared and equipped you to do and serve in the ministry that He has given to you, before you begin to serve God in that ministry. Many believers are in a  hurry to save the world and serve God, but they don not want to wait for the time and schedule of God.

God saved Paul in Damascus and from there he went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus. After three years, he went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. After that, Paul went to Syria and Cilicia. From Cilicia's Tarsus, Paul went to Antioch. Barnabas and Paul were together a whole year in Antioch, and there they assembled themselves with the congregation, and taught to many people. After that they were ministering to the Lord and fasting the Holy Spirit said, separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work where to I have called them.

Believers in the congregation of Antioch fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on Paul and Barnabas and sent them away to do the ministry that God had called them to do. God called and equipped Paul to serve as an apostle, but Paul begun to serve as an apostle over four years after when God had saved him. According to the Bible, Paul spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, when he had been saved in the Lord Jesus. However, the ministry of an apostle and mighty works started to happen four years after God had saved him.

God had His own time and schedule for Paul to equip him to work and serve as an apostle. Paul was incapable of doing the things of an apostle before God had equipped and anointed him to serve as an apostle. If Paul had decided to begin to be an apostle before the timing of God, Paul would not have done it but would have mixed up and destroyed the work of God.

God built and equipped Paul very carefully, precisely and accurately for ministry of an apostle. God saved him in Damascus and after three years, he went to met Peter to Jerusalem. From there, he went to Syria and Cilicia. Paul was also one year in Antioch before the fulfillment of apostleship. All those years, God equipped Paul to become an apostle.

When God saved Paul, He spoke to him through Ananias that God had chosen Paul to do the will of God and see the Just One (Jesus) and to hear the voice of God. Paul did not hurry, but he patiently waited for the schedule of God and the moment when God sent him as an apostle to preach the Gospel and do powerful things by the power of God for the glory of God.

In the beginning when God had saved Paul, he spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus. The Bible does not say that in the beginning, Paul immediately did mighty works by the power of God. When we study the Bible, especially the Acts of Apostles, we can see that it took over four years when God sent Paul to serve Him as an apostle, and after that, Paul could pray for the sick that they get healed and Paul could do mighty works by the power of God.

The Bible clearly shows that there are ministries and gifts that we cannot get immediately when God has saved us, but we have to wait for Him to equip us first.

When God has saved you, you can immediately have the gift of speaking with tongues, but you cannot  be an apostle. According to this example, be patient and wait for the timing and schedule of God.

Hebr 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

The Bible teaches that we need patience so that we can follow the will of God and see the fulfillment of God's promises.

Many believers who have been saved just a while ago, and young believers try to hurry to serve God by ministries to which they have not yet been prepared by God. They begin their ministry too early or totally without the calling of God. They begin to preach and teach, but without the anointment of God and therefore, their teaching and preaching become distorted, and they fall away from the truth of the Bible.

They can be eager and enthusiastic to serve God, but have not patiently waited for the schedule of God and His call and equipping. For this reason, they shall stumble and fall in many things.

Rev 2:19 I know thy works, and love, and faith, and service, and also thy patience; and that these thy latter works are more than the former.

According to the Bible, God shall equip His servants through patience, which produces love, faith and service. When the love of God and faith worked by the Holy Spirit grows in your heart, you serve God in a way that your latter works are more than the former.

This means that through patience, you can experience more and more that the will of God comes true in your life.

Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

According to the Bible, bringing forth good fruit to God happens through patience. It is very important to understand that no one is not instantly ready for the ministry to which God has called them. Therefore, it is very important to wait and let God equip you to serve Him according to His will and timing.

2 Thess 1:3  We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity (agape) of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

The Bible teaches very clearly that the life of faith is a growth process where the faith and love of God grows exceedingly in our hearts by the grace of God. By the growth process of faith, you will learn to live more profoundly according to the will of God.

Pro 19:2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

If you have the eagerness to serve God, it is not a bad thing. However, if you do not have knowledge, in other words, if you have not been equipped by God, eagerness and being without knowledge is not a good thing because he who hurries shall err and makes sins.

According to the Bible, without knowledge the soul is not good, and he who hurries with his feet sins. I have seen that many believers have begun to do the work of the Lord too early. They have not edified and equipped to the foundation of the truth according to the Bible and for this reason, they understand the Bible incorrectly and cause many problems in the work of the Lord.

They have not understood the entire teachings of the Bible and have not understood the gift to teach. Some of them may have a calling to teach the Bible, but they are not ready for it yet.

We have to take very seriously the teaching of the Bible that without knowledge the soul is not good, and he who hurries with his feet sins. Every believer must wait for God to equip them for the ministry to which God has called them. If you hurry and do not wait, you will get lost and deceive those who listen to you.

God does not send a spiritual baby to the battlefield, but equips the person so that they are prepared and capable of working according to the gifts and anointment that God has given to them.

God grows and equips you in the midst of the congregation. Pray for patience for you to wait until God has prepared you to serve Him in the ministry that He has given to you. Be ready to go on the day when God sends you to serve Him according to the ministry that He has given to you. Then you can see the will of God coming true in your life.

Col 4:
12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
13 For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.

Eph 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

The will of God is that the congregation (believers) prays for one another that they all can stand in faith as is the will of God. The work of the Lord needs prayers all the time because ministries and the work of the Lord can only carry a lot of good fruit when prayers are fervent and continuous.

John 4:23  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Prayers are the fuel of life of the faith that is in accordance with the will of God. We must pray in the truth by the Holy Spirit. If we are praying for things that are not in accordance with the will of God, we are spending our time incorrectly and we cannot concentrate on things that are in accordance with the will of God.

God has said in His word that in the last days, iniquity (lawlessness) shall abound, and the love of many shall wax cold. God has also said that in the last days, many nations will attack the nation of Israel. Many believers are praying that lawlessness would not come and that many nations wouldn't attack against Israel. They may use a lot of time to these prayers. However, they are praying in vain, because according to the word of God, lawlessness shall abound and many nations shall attack Israel.

Believers should not pray for lawlessness or for that many nations would attack Israel very soon. These things will happen for the providence of God and according to His timing and schedule. We can pray for the salvation of Israel and bless them. We can also pray that many people would come to faith and in that way, they shall be saved from lawlessness and the influence of an antichrist.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

It is very important to become trained to pray in the truth for things that are in accordance of the will of God. The Holy Spirit helps and grows us to pray in the truth in accordance of the will of God.

Romans 12:
1 ¶ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

If you do not have patience to wait for the preparation of your ministry, you can very easily neglect the things that are part of the time of preparation. You become frustrated and do not want to read the Bible, do not want to pray and to receive those things in which God is equipping you to the ministry that He has given to you. Frustration is a sign that you do not have the patience to wait, and you either start doing things in your own power or neglect the life of faith.

In frustration and in that you do not have the patience to wait for God's timing, there is always a danger that you begin to conform to live according to worldly sins. When you do not want to study the Bible and you do not want to seek the will of God, you are on the way to worldly lusts and sins. The only solution for this kind of situation is to repent and return  Biblical faith according to the will of God.

When you do not have the patience to wait for God's timing, it can also be that you are thinking more highly of yourself than you should. Then you begin to do the things by your own power and you behave and act by gifts and ministry to which you do not have the calling of God or you are not yet prepared to work in that ministry.

When you think of yourself soberly according to the growth phase in which you are by the grace of God, you can wait and do not get lost. Then you have the eagerness to study the Word of God and grow in faith as the Holy Spirit works in your heart. When the timing and schedule of God are complete, He will send you the ministry because He has equipped you for it and for this reason, you are capable of working in it.
