Archbishop's attitude is very arrogant, because he says that people who hold homosexuality as sin are making a wrong interpretation of the Bible. The question is not from interpretation, because the Bible says very clearly that homosexuality is sin and unnatural sexual behaviour. I don't believe that archbishop Mäkinen has difficulties to read the Bible. I believe that archbishop wants to support ear itch of the people. Archbishop fears more men than God and therefore he defends and support homosexuality. It is very obvious that the archbishop is not in Biblical faith, but the condition of rebellious sinner and not a man of God.

A man who has been saved from the grace of God can't make a mistake that what the Bible teaches about sexuality and marriage. A man who says that the Bible accept and support homosexuality is either godless or departed from the Biblical faith.

It is true that the Bible teaches defending of people, but the Bible doesn't recommend to defend sinful things. Archbishop works against the teaching of the Bible. The Finnish Lutheran Church is very strange situation, because its Creed order members of the Church to believe in the Bible, but archbishop teaches against the Bible about homosexuality and also many other things. Nowhere else (institution, community, and so on) can't be such kind of situation, in which the leader doesn't agree for common ideology and teachings.

Titus 1:
7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;
8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;
9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

The Bible teaches that a bishop (same as shepherd, elders) of God's congregation must hold fast from the word of God. And he must be able to convince and exhort gainsayers by sound doctrine. God Himself gives the anointment to the shepherds and the real shepherd can't make such a mistake that he holds homosexuality as the will of God. Archbishop Mäkinen's wrong teaching about homosexuality exposes that he has not authorized by God and he has not anointment of God, but is speaking lying words.

According to the Bible it is not possible that men as Mäkinen could lead the real congregation of God. According to the Bible it is not possible that members of God's congregation could be under the leadership of men who teaches against the Bible in the way as Mäkinen is doing.

The will of God is that every regenerated believer would depart from these kind of connections, in which leaders accept and support sins. The will of God is that they would search in the guidance of God for themselves the congregation and fellowship in which leaders and whole congregation believe the Bible as it says.

Teaching of the Bible from marriage is very clear:

Matt 19:
1 ¶ And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these sayings, he departed from Galilee, and came into the coasts of Judaea beyond Jordan;
2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
3 ¶ The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

The Lord Jesus brought out that from the creation God has set permanent relationship (marriage) between man and woman. The Lord Jesus said that a man can't asunder marriage, because it is God's ordinance between man and woman. This means that man and woman would stay in marriage and love and honor one another until the death separates them. This also means that a man has no permission to change marriage between man and woman as marriage between two men or two women. God has set marriage from the beginning of mankind's history between man and woman.

Archbishop Mäkinen and all people who accept homosexuality are opposing the publicly ordinance of God. Marriage between man and woman is the basic unit of God's creation and if people will destroy this order, so they will destroy also society.

1 Tim 4:
1 ¶ Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

The prophetic word of the Bible brings out behind 2000 years that what will happen in the last days of mankind. The word forbidding in verse 3 could be translated also refusing to marry. The Bible says that marriage is between man and woman. In gay marriages people refuse to marry in a way that God has ordered. The prophetic word of the Bible brings out that in the last days of mankind there are people who don't marry in a way that God has set the marriage. Accepting gay marriages are fulfilling the prophecy of the Bible and proves that the Bible is true.

The Bible also brings out that many believers will depart (apostasy) from the faith in the last days. This apostasy is connected to the time when people refuse to marry as God has ordered marriage. It is very sad that many believers will depart from the faith and accept wrong marriage model in the last days. What are seeing right now has been prophesied about 2000 years ago in the Bible.

Do not judge

Provoking against people, hate speech and offending of human rights is raised up very often when someone says what the Bible teaches about homosexuality. Of course, we can't accept racism, but are always a deed that we must judge. Saying homosexuality as a sin is not hate speech, offending of human rights or racism, but the truth of the word of God. My intention is not provoked or discrimination, but bring out the undisputed truth that the Bible says homosexuality as sin. This matter is very delicate and sensitive and my intention is not offending anyone or provoke people against homosexuals.

Everybody has a right to believe or not to believe in the Bible. The decision not to believe in the Bible doesn't remove the fact, that the Bible says homosexuality as sin. People can make laws for the sake of homosexuality, but it doesn't cancel the truth of the Bible.

Matt 22:
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The teaching of the Bible is very clear and undisputed saying homosexuality as sin. What kind of attitude you must to have towards homosexual person? According to the Bible we must love all neighbours also homosexuals.

This means that the disciple of the Lord Jesus can't hate or treat them negatively, because all people are valuable as a creation of God. However, the will of God is that people would repent their sins like bitterness, jealousy, greed and homosexuality and so on.

Very often I hear words judge not, and you shall not be judged. This means that if you are doing same sins or other sins and don't want repent, so he shall be judged according to his ways, and according to his doings.

John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

The Lord Jesus said that you can't judge according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgement. This means that you can't discern your neighbour in a wrong way, but discern him according to the truth of the Bible. Because the Bible says indisputably that homosexuality is sin, so you are not saying wrong or the judge in a wrong way, but giving righteous discernment.

Here in Finland we have a saying: Love the sinner, but do not love and support sin. We can love homosexuals, but we can't love and support homosexuality. Only God of the Bible has a copyright that how a man should practice sexuality, because He is the Creator of a man. Sexuality between man and woman is beautiful gift of God and we should accept it as He has ordered it for us.
