Golden candlestick

The Golden candlestick was made from  one talent of pure gold, which weighed about 88 pounds. Priests must take care  that the fire burnt in the candlestick  day and night. In the candlestick  clean olive oil was used as the fuel. The Golden candlestick lighted the sanctuary and shone its light straight to the table of shewbread. For the care of the golden candlestick, gold tongs and snuffdishes were provided.

The ark of the covenant and cherubims

The ark of the covenant was made from shittim wood and was covered with gold on the inside and outside. Inside the ark were the tablets of stone of the law, the golden manna pot, and Aaron's rod that budded. The cover was made from pure gold and on the top of the cover was forged two cherubims from pure gold. The Cover of the ark was named the mercy seat.

The Table of Shewbread

The Table of Shewbread was prepared from Shittim Wood and covered with pure gold. At every Sabbath priests baked new unleavened bread, which were set on the table in two piles. There were 12 pieces of bread. The table also had a Golden Bowl for the drink offering. On  top of the bread were golden vessels for the sweet incense.

The High Priest

The clothes of the high priest were comprised of different garments. The Ephod was made from gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. The girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. On two onyx stones were engraved the names of the twelve tribes of Israel (Names of the sons of Israel). Onyx-stones were put on the shoulders of the high priest. So the high priest carried the twelve tribes of Israel on his shoulders; And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial, Exodus 28:12.

The chestplate was made of the same material as the ephod. The chestplate was square, and on it, four lines of 12 different jewels were set in gold. On the jewels were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. The chestplate was attached to the ephod with gold rings. The chestplate was placed on the heart of the high priest, and in this way the high priest carried on his heart the twelve tribes of Israel. On the chestplate were  also Urim (Hebrews : lights) and Thummim (Hebrew :  perfection), which were implements of answers of God; And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually. And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually, Exodus 28:29 30.

The robe of the Ephod was made of woven work, all of blue, and the hem of the ephod was embroidered pomegranates of blue and purple and crimson on its hem, all around on its hem; also bells of gold shall be among them all around. Like this the nation of Israel was always able to hear where high priest moved. They put the miter on the head of the high priest, and they put the holy crown on the miter, which was engraved with the text: HOLINESS TO THE LORD. Then he wore a Linen undergarment, which reached from the loins until his thighs; And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about: A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about. And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not. Exodus 28:33-35.

Only the high priest had the right to go to the Most Holy once a year and he would take with him blood, which he sprinkled onto the mercy seat for the sake of the sins of the nation of Israel. In this way God set and prescribed the high priest to deliver the cleansing of the sins of the nation of Israel. The high priest went to the Most Holy and took the blood of the offering animal to the Most Holy and sprinkled blood onto the mercy seat and before it, and in this way he delivered atonement to the nation of Israel. However, the high priest had also to reconcile his own sins, because he was also a sinner.

The Messiah Yeshua is the High Priest of the New Covenant and He is sinless and He has sacrificed Himself and shed His blood with one offering for the sake of  all sins.

The Lord Messiah Yeshua carries on His shoulders and in His heart the people of the New Covenant congregation through His eternal and perfect love. As with the help of the gold bells, the Old Covenant congregation heard where high priest moved; so the nation of the New Covenant knows the moving of the Lord through the Holy Spirit ( Yeshua is the High Priest of the New Covenant).
