Goliath falls before power of God

The battle of David and Goliath has inspired many sermons and Bible teachings. God has also spoken from David and Goliath to my heart, and I want share with you this teaching. In this matter we can’t leave away Saul, so first we acquainted to Saul.

SAUL

When Saul came king of Israel, so Spirit of Lord came to him, and he turned to another man. God turned and converted Saul’s heart to the side of the Lord, which is the will of God also in today, to change our heart according to His will. Saul’s life with God started very good, but what went wrong in life of Saul? In next we observe life of Saul, and we consider what went wrong about life of him with God. Saul received a mission from God go to Gilgal and wait 7 days there Samuel. Samuel was commanded to sacrifice Lord in Gilgal and tell Saul, that what wasthere the mission of Saul. When Saul was been year a king, so Israel had to go for war against Philistines. Saul was at Gilgal and waited there at Samuel. As Saul was waiting on already sevenfold day for Samuel, the nation of Israel started to leave away with Saul, because Samuel wasn't appeared there.

Because of Samuel delay Saul decided that he sacrifices to Lord, and he sacrificed burnt offering. But, just as burnt offering was sacrificed, so then Samuel came in Gilgal. Saul gladly went on to greet Samuel. Samuel asks from Saul : ” You have acted foolishly that you have not kept the command of Jehovah your God which He commanded you. For now Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. However, now your kingdom shall not stand. Lord has sought out for Himself a man according to His own heart, and Lord has appointed him as the leader over His people. For you have not kept that which Lord commanded you.

Saul was very brave and powerful in his flesh, and so he decided to do that, what should be the task of Samuel. Saul's life with God was begun, but Saul didn't give a permission to God completely change himself, and so he doesn't want to die in his flesh and in his power. Saul doesn't believe the commandments of God, but he acted like he desired with his own power in the flesh, but not that way as God has said to him. That powerful promoting of His own flesh cost Saul to that, that he lost his ministry, which God gave him. If Saul would obey to God, so God would be confirmed his ministry. This is warning to you and me that receive sincerely those commands, which God has given to us, and that we obey Lord.

This word of Lord came to Saul: ” I avenge Amalek it, what he made in Israel subsidence by Israel way, as Israel came from Egypt. Go so and win Amalek, and destroy all what they have; do not save them, but death men and women, children and suckling, oxes and sheeps, camels and donkeys. Saul left warfare against Amalek and he win them. Furthermore, he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. However, Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but everything that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.

Saul's heart was stuck in everything. What is valuable to flesh. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. He doesn't understand, that God can keep good care of his needs and heart of Saul loved more this world than God. That was the reason he does not want to obey God. After that Saul went to Carmel and erected there himself a memorial statue. Saul was full of himself, his heart was so proud, that he started to glorify himself, that he erected for himself a memorial statue, which purpose was to remind everyone how "great man" of God, he is. I think that Saul think like that himself. God’s plan is glorifying Himself to this world and purpose of every child of God is also glorifying the living God. Saul act wrongly he started to glorify himself, although he must glorify God not himself. Saul didn't believe the will of God, but he was only thinking about how he can glorify himself.

We should be the living letters of Christ, who have faith in God, such kind of letters, which smells good and glorify Jesus Christ. Man who haven’t accepted that God can rule in his life start to build in his flesh memorial statue about his work and his ministry. Flesh of a man always wants to build something, which would glorify achievements of people and which would glorify flesh of the man, such kind of thing, which are valuable and beautiful to the flesh of man. This kind of attitude is very religious, because religious spirit speaks about God, but glorifies always flesh of the man, but not God. All cattle what was cheap and valueless in the eyes of Saul, he however commanded to destruction. In this way works for flesh of the man, what is only cheap and valueless to flesh, that man throws away. Religious spirit appraises all things only through money and through value of the flesh, but not sacrifice time to that, which is cheap and valueless, which is however valuable from the eyes of God. As Samuel comes to Saul, so Saul said to Samuel that he has filled those commands, which God gave him. Powerful flesh, which is full of himself is so hardened, that it believes, that it has been live according to commandments of God, although however he acts against commandments of God.

This is dangerous, because a selfish man who is loved of his own power thinks that he is serving God, although he is rejecting commandments of God and select himself own ways, which he thought that it is the way of the Lord. A selfish man is so full of himself, that he walks as blind from reality and supposes that he is serving God, although he is serving his selfish own flesh. A selfish man who is full of him doesn’t see and not respect other people, but he only sees his needs and his ministry. Saul came enviousness to David and for this reason he wanted push away David from his way, because David was a threat to kingship of Saul, so Saul was thinking. Are you so full of yourself, that you do the same way as Saul did, are you pushing down somebody, cause you afraid that he will take your place?

Saul tries to drive David away from that inheritance and ministry, which God was given to David. Unfortunately, that spirit of Saul influences also nowadays inside of the congregation. A selfish man who is full of him is the worst hindrance for the work of God. Because this own flesh is very dangerous disease, so only remedy and medicament is repentance and that our flesh have to die, which is a consequence that Spirit of God can rule us in righteousness.

Samuel said to Saul, that God don’t want rams fats as sacrifice, but obedience of our heart is pleasing God. As disobedience is sin of witchcraft, and recalcitrant is falsehood and service of idolatry. Because Saul abandoned the Lord by walking according to in his own flesh, so the Lord had to reject Saul, and Saul can’t be anymore a king of Israel. A selfish man who is full of himself can’t own a godly life, because flesh is contrary and always against will of God.

That kind of God's service, which rising from the flesh of man is not right service of God, but it is idolatrous. As now when Saul lose his kingship, so he repented, and he confessed that he had done sin and said to Samuel, that he now bows down to pray for God. When from life of Saul was taken away that honour and position where Saul glorified himself, so he now begged mercy before God.

Why God didn’t give mercy to Saul? Man sees only an exterior, but God can see straight to the heart of a man. God saw directly very deeply to heart of Saul and God knew, that Saul didn't do correct repentance before God. Selfish flesh who is full of himself get afraid when somebody take away from him, his honour and position where he has glorified himself. Saul only wanted to keep his kingship, and through this kingship he would get more power to build his own flesh. Saul tried to all of his life kill David, because Saul wanted to be a king of Israel. God knew this and for that reason this solution, that God must take away kingship of Saul.

Spirit of God leaves Saul and God sends bad spirit to bother Saul. Saul was such man, who was full of his own flesh power, and he wanted to lead and rule the nation of Israel. It looks like also in today’s Christianity is plenty of same kinds of men leading people of God like Saul was. Furthermore, so as Saul believed, that he is serving God, so many today's spirituality leadership service is very similar like service of Saul, where those leaders only brighten their own flesh, but not God.

Goliath

Philistines warfare against Israel. Saul and men of Israel gathered against Philistines. So came the Philistines champion named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. Furthermore, he had a helmet of brass upon his head, and he was cladded with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a javelin of brass between his shoulders. And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and his shield-bearer went before him.

Philistine Goliath describes carnal idolatrous and religious systems and that how gorgeous creation is this religious system of Goliath. Goliath describes idolatry and power of idolatry. Goliath was six cubits in length and single span. 

Goliath was little over 118 inches tall. Goliath is bigger than you, and he is enormous size and this describes how big and enormous is religious system. Goliath coat weighted 125 pounds. Goliath spear’s head weighed 15 pounds.

These describe power of religious systems, which have enormous a lot of fleshy power, which lives according to tradition of men.

Goliath shout to men of Israel: ” I am philistine, and you are Saul’s server; choose a man among you, who come here with me. If he is good for fighting against me and kill me, so we are your servant; but if I kill him, so you are our servants, and you will service us.

This is a message of a religious spirit; if you have the ability to fight against religious spirit and win it, so it will service you, but if it wins you, so you come servant of the religious spirit, and you will service religious spirit. Religious spirit aim against you the most powerful force, which it has and demand you to fight against it. If you lose that battle against it. You are going to get very badly, but if you win it, so to you is going to happen good things. Goliath said yet : ” I am today defamatory Israel’s army, and it’s men. Give here a man, so we start to fight.

Religious spirit desecrates always those who believe in God. As Saul and all Israel heard Goliath's challenge, so them took-over fright, and they were greatly scared. The reason why men of Israel scared was Saul. Saul was their leader, but Saul was disobedient to God and Saul didn't have anointment in his life, because of his disobedient. Life of Saul was under his carnal mind and under his own flesh power, so that attitude of Saul affected also men of Saul. Army of Saul was very well trained, there was military commanders and soldier’s, those who were trained warfare. However, before Goliath and his power they were helpless and infirmity, because they were under of carnal mind, and they have power in their own flesh, but they have not anointment of God.

Are you dependent from your own flesh or fleshy power of some spiritual leader? If you are, so you also fear Goliath, and you must serve idols of religious systems. Training somewhere fine and high density religious bible school will not help you, you will need in your life anointment of God, which you can only get at school of God, if you intend to win battle against evil spirits. A paper ministry has no value, but it has value that God has called you. Goliath came out forth, every morning and evening, for 40 days periods. That was continuous challenge, religious system will not let you off easily, you will need absolutely anointment of God, else you must serve idols for the sake of the fear of your flesh. Fear of a man comes in that way as a trap to you and your flesh. Anointment of God banishes inside of you all fear, what you feel towards a man and evil spirits. Perfect love of God in truth casts out fear. You and I will need such a kind of experience, that our flesh have to die away from it’s own power, so that anointment of the Spirit of God through by faith can get victory of those Goliaths, which this world rise against us.

David

In this agony moment of Israel, David, son of Jesse, sheepherder brought food to his brothers. David hears and see the fear of the soldiers, and so he just tells to Saul : " don't anybody mind get depressed because of Goliath, thy Servant go fighting against that philistine." When our things don't go like our flesh have planned it, so we get depressed, David already knew this at in his time. Depression in our flesh comes from that, so that we are ruling by a fleshy mind, which obey a sin. Anointment of God, which leads us, that the Holy Spirit can rule us, takes this depression away from our life.

Saul said to David : ” You can’t go and fight against that philistine, because you are juvenile, but he has been a soldier since his youth.” You can't battle, because you aren't highly educated in some religious institute. In this way speaks own flesh power with the mouth of fleshy power. He asks from you a certificate of his religious institute and your grade of his religious institute. But if you don’t have this certificate, so you can’t battle against an enemy in this leader's party. Saul didn't know, that when David was herding a sheep he has killed bear and lions, without study of Saul's institute. The Lord had given the victory to David with bears and lions. A carnal man looks always through the eyes of flesh, and he will see only carnal activities. You can also be treated congregation of God in a same way that fleshy leaders who works on their own flesh power see you only as little insignificant sheepherder, who don't know nothing about spiritual warfare. But, those leaders haven’t been with you in flock of sheep, neither they haven’t seen how God saved you from nails of bears and lions. Don’t be bitter towards those carnal leaders, those who discriminate against you.

Follow the example of David and love those who discriminate against you in the same way, as David loved to Saul. The Bible also said; don’t give back evil for evil, or reviling against reviling; but, on the contrary, give blessing; knowing that you were called to this in order that you might inherit blessing. Bitterness just contaminates you and it wants to also contaminate those people who are around you, but remember bitterness is sinning, which we have to repent. The Bible teaches us praise in every situation. David was learnt this in the school of God, start you also at this very moment in the same school where David studied, school of God. Love those who discriminate against you, that is true anointment of God's Spirit. After all Saul gave to David a permission to go and fight against Goliath. And Saul clothed David with his apparel, and put a bronze helmet on his head, and clothed him with body armour. And David girded his sword on his apparel, and started to go. However, he had not tested these apparels. And David said to Saul, I am not able to go with these, for I have not tested them. And David took them off.

Saul gave to David his own doctrine schoolbook and his own fleshy equipment (Apparels of Saul describes that). Saul supposed, that when David now only follows mine instructions, so all is well. Thanks to God, that David said, that he couldn’t battle with those equipments, which Saul gave him. David rejected carnal power and he turned to power of God. It’s very important that David understand that those equipments of Saul, they are not of his equipments. We also must accurately understand word of God, that we can recognize false doctrines, which are intended to lead us astray.

Are you allured handsome and great armaments of Saul? Think, how people admire you, as you walk with this gorgeous armour of Saul, golden decorations glittering and make you looking very dignity. Remember, that Saul and his men can’t fight against Goliath, although they where dressed very dignity ways. Reject you also clothes of Saul, because through equipment of Saul the spiritual man can’t fight spiritual warfare. Don’t you ever try to dress equipment of Saul. That armour of Saul not agreed to David, that's why he doesn't wear it. Equipment of Saul describes us, that disobedience, which affected in Saul. A spiritual man can’t be disobedience to God. A spiritual man must love and obey God, in that way we only can see works of God.

Carnality weapons don't fit weapons of spiritually men, undress you also away equipment of Saul, if they are over you. David took shepherd’s staff in his hand and select five smooth stones from the brook, and he put them in the shepherd’s bag, which he had. David took to sling in his hand, and he drew near to the Philistine. David chose to sling, which sheepherder used, that weapon was familiar to David and God has already trained David, to use that sling. God has also trained you and given to you spiritually equipments, which you are also learnt to use. If you haven't yet learnt use those equipments, which God has given to you, don't worry, because if you want to use them, then God teach you, so that you can use those equipments. Goliath approach to David and as he sees David, he looked at despising to David. Religious equipment despises you and don’t give you any value, because you love God, and you obey God and you don’t take instructions by human religious traditions. Don’t flatter, don’t surrender to Goliath, but go courageously towards Goliath by anointment of God. Goliath said to David: ” Am I a dog that you have come to me with sticks? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.”

Religious spirit doesn’t give value of that ministry, which God has given to your heart. Religious spirit abusive and rampage to you, religious spirit trust only it’s own machine power and to those human’s doctrines, which it has built. Then Goliath said to David: ” Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the heavens and to the beasts of the field.” Religious machine bluster before you and puff out his muscular before you. Don’t fear that, it is only built up by flesh of this religious system; it can’t damage you, because you are born in the Spirit of God, and you live by the power of the Holy Spirit. However, David said Goliath: ” You are coming to me with sword, and with spear, and with javelin. But I am coming to you in the name of Jehovah of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, which you have reproached. Today Jehovah shall shut you up into my hand, and I shall strike you, and take off your head from you and give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the heavens and to the beasts of the earth today. And all the earth shall know that there is a God for Israel. And all this company shall know that Jehovah does not save by sword and by spear, but that the battle belongs to Jehovah, and He has given you into our hand.”

Religious system present religious sword and lance before you. Don’t anyway fear Goliath's weapons, because they are built by human hands and with evil spirits, and they are false doctrines. God speaks direct to your heart, not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says God. If you fall to use fleshy weapons, so you have lost the spiritual battle. Confront those evil spirits, which are your truly opponent by power of the Holy Spirit, so then you win them. David didn't seek safety from fleshy power, but he turned to seek help from God. As Goliath start to come and approach David, so David hurried and ran toward the ranks to meet the Philistine. For God did not give a spirit of cowardice to us, but of power and of love, and of self-control. Heart of David was anointment of God, and so he went against Goliath. And David put his hand into the pack and took a stone from there. And he slung it and struck the Philistine in his forehead. And the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.

In anointment of God David knew what he has to do, and so he accurately aimed Goliath to bald forehead, and result of this was, that Goliath fell down to the ground, greatness of Goliath and his power collapsed by the power of God. God wants to train also you, that you accurately hit false doctrine, which is lifted against word of God, and result of this those false doctrines and power of evil spirits must flee from you.

David was stronger than the Philistine with the sling and with the stone. And he struck the Philistine and killed him. And there was no sword in David’s hand.  And David ran and stood over the Philistine, and took his sword; and he drew it out of its sheath and killed him. And he cut off his head with it. And the Philistines saw that their warrior was dead, and they fled.  And the men of Israel and Judah rose up and shouted, and pursued the Philistines until they enter the valley, even to the gates of Ekron. And wounded of the Philistines fell in the way of Shaaraim, even to Gath, and to Ekron.  And the sons of Israel returned from hotly pursuing the Philistines; and they pillaged their camps.

Power of God breaks power of the man and power of evil spirits and knocks down those infirmities. If you want anointment of God in your life, so reject man’s flesh power and choose Lord’s way, which is the way of obedience towards God. Actual faith, which influenced in little humble David gave courage also to men of Israel, and so they ran philistines away and win them. If you too want to be dedicated to God and choose those equipments, which God gives to you, so your example positively provide hope to others child of God, and they also get anointment, which bring freedom from those sins and worldly bandages where they are.

Epilogue

Power of the flesh and selfish men and those who are full of their own carnal power can’t have anointment of God and no blessings of God, as we know that this truth through life of Saul . Powerful carnal man is carrying out only his own flesh power and by that way he comes so blind that he supposes that he serves God, although he is walking on his own way, but not the way of God. If such a man alone manages to lead congregation, so results are then quite awful. The most worst hindrance of God's work is not Satan and not people of this world, but powerful and egocentric "I person" a believer who is selfish. Life of Saul was corrupted by powerful and selfish flesh, which was full of fleshy power, which he had when he was as a king in Israel. Saul wanted to be the leader, who has a power. Saul doesn't understand that, so that the leader is also a servant of God and mission of the leaders is also serving and loving their neighbours and carry honour to God and glorify God.

All services and ministries in the congregation of God are intended to serve not rule. If you also want power and position in congregation, so to you happens in the same way as happened to Saul. Who wants to be biggest in the congregation of God, he must be everybody’s servant, so says Bible to us. Spiritual greatness makes us to decreasing, so that we come small, not big. Saul was so great in his flesh that God couldn't work through Saul, but by small David God could successfully work. Reduce you also from yourself and give Jesus Christ grow in you, that you can see work of God in your life.

Anointment of God and His blessing rest above David, because David was a little and small man, humble and weak. When David made sin, so he also always repented from those sins in his life. The own men of David have said; that David is fond more, those who hate David as those who loved David. David loved Saul as love of God, although Saul intended to kill him. David loved God and word of God. David trusted more God’s power as on his own power. All these features made David such kind of man which mind was pleasing God. God calls also you to follow an example of David's life. Love and fear God and anger sinful things, but love sinner, so then you are also pleasing God. This is desire of God for us. Do you allow God’s loving and truthful Spirit, through word of God make you a man who is pleasing loving God?
