9. Mockery of this world
After the whipping Roman
soldiers took Jesus to the court-yard of the governor’s palace. The soldiers
had heard that Jesus was accused of blasphemy and that He was called ‘The
king of the Jews’. The distinctive mark of a king was the purple robe, the
sceptre and the golden wreath. The soldiers stripped Him, and put on Him a
scarlet robe. Then when they put a crown of thorns on His head, and a
reed in His right hand: and they bowed before Him, and mocked Him, saying,
‘Hail, King of the Jews’! Then they spat on Him, and took the reed, and
smote Him on the head. And after that, when they had mocked Him, they
took the robe away from him, and put His own raiment on Him. Roman soldiers didn’t see
that brightness and love, which was in the Jesus neither they understood,
that Jesus is the King of the kings. People of this world don't recognize
works of God and that you are the child of God neither they can’t see that
brightness where you live with Christ.
