Yad VaShem Danish rescue boat.
In 1943 Nazi German occupied Denmark and 7500 Danish Jews were in death
danger. Danish citizens didn't want to hand over their Jews to the hand of
Nazis. Almost all Danish Jews succeeded to escape neutral Sweden. Many
Danish Jews escaped to Sweden by boats and by that way boats became
literally rescue boats. In the picture is one of the Danish Jews rescue
boats. Nation of Denmark acted heroically when rescuing Jews from the hand
of Nazis during the Second World War.
