Jerusalem. Picture from Hinnom valley, which locates south side of Jerusalem. In this valley were burnt children as offerings to idol god Moloch. Ben Hinnom valley was also as rubbish dump of Jerusalem, where always burnt a fire. Garbages of city thrown  to these "eternal" flames. NT uses Hinnom valley as symbolically about the eternal damnation.
