Apostle Paul teaches to the believers to put on the whole armour of God, that they may be able to resist in the evil day, and having worked out all things, to stand the deceitful wiles(methodeia) of the devil. Greek word methodeia comes from the words meta (with, after, behind) and hodeuo (to travel, journey). satan acts systematically when trying to yield to temptation believers. satan selects always accurately time and also a place and situation according to when he starts to tease a believer. satan selects to him the most acceptable moment when he assumes that a believer falls to the temptation.

  Apostle Paul uses inspired by the Holy Spirit his time war equipment of the soldier as an example of armour of God.  Believers do not have to wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the worlds rulers, of the darkness of this age, against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenlies.  On this battlefield doesn't fight against sisters and brothers in Christ, and not against the people of this world.  On this area satan may mislead the nation of God, because unfortunately in the many denominations and also in other connections believers fight against one and other. Different things are exposed in the Spirit of love and truth doctrines, which are anchored to the tradition of men in other words against those doctrines, which roots are not in the heaven, but in the tradition of men and doctrines of evil spirits.

Think about this, if nations in second world war would be started to fight against their own soldiers. Unfortunately, satan has got successful to fight some believers against one another. Think about what strategy, an opponent turns with the same half being soldiers of Christ to fight against one another. Believers are not allowed to fight against one another, like this is forgotten the winning of the souls and building up of believers in mutual spirit and the people of the world remains imprisonment of satan. In this kind of fight satan laughs with sweet laughter and like this congregation of God donate unsaved souls to satan. The fight doesn't come to go against the people of the world, but against the evil spirit, which have bound the people of his imprisonment of sin. The fighting against the flesh and blood, thwarts works of God, but the fighting against the evil spirit bring into sight work of God.

Whole armour of God came to put on, so that a believer can resist evil spirits. Believers must understand, that this world is under the power of the evil spirit, they are rulers of this world. God is Almighty, but authority and splendour of this world had been given to satan.

Luke 4:5- 6:
The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.

Basic-strategy of satan to misleading of the people is:

1. He distorts the word of God and deceive a man person on the faked word of God.
2. satan deceives a man through carnality of the man (soul), in which deceit is directed to emotional life and sense of sight. satan operated in the flesh (mind) of the man, where is understanding and feelings of the man. For this sake God equips believers to word of God and with the Spirit of God, for with in these areas satan is powerless, because satan can't win it what is from God. But, this believer must remember that if on the battlefield are functioned as carnally, so always comes a loss. But if believers functions spiritually so he walks in triumph with Christ. That triumph in Christ, is a place of each believer and station of each believer. 

Then apostle Paul teaches, that how to fight spiritually against the evil spirits, and there we will concentrate on next. 

First matter is filled up with the Holy Spirit, because only in the Holy Spirit can be used armour of God. Believers must gird his loins about with truth and as the suit of believers must be the breastplate of righteousness, which is crucifixion and resurrection of Christ Jesus, His atonement. When preparing to the fight soldier came to attach firmly a belt around of him, that not slack and hanging clothes when fluttering would be prevented moving of soldier, because at its worst he can to stumble his clothes, if clothes are not tightly bound. This describes it, that a believer come to wander in the truth of the word of God and in the Spirit of God and reject sin away from his life, because whenever believer makes or live in the sins he puts into effect of satan and not will of God. All sins what God indicate to us must be rooted up, because every plant, which God has not planted must be rooted up, Matt 15:13. God gave from me a lesson from this root care, which I share with you next.

I was at work 1994 on the factory of Raisio in Finland. My job was to keep in good condition outside areas of Raisio factories. Very often I had to pick weeds off from the flower planting, which were in front of Raisio factories headquarter. I remember how I pick up those weeds and every week was grown always new weeds, which replaced those weeds which I have earlier picked. All weeds must pick up and any of them not allow to grow middle of these flowers. If these weeds would allow to grow, so when they are growing, they would have choked flowers and taken away nourishment from the mould. God started speaking from this to me very powerfully, and He said; These weeds are like the sin, which take growth space and chokes faith, which is in the heart of the believers. Then I understood, that every planting, which God has not planted has to root up.

From this follows, that when heart of the believer is clean and full of faith so our feet are eager and ready to take gospel of peace from Jesus Christ to this world. Soldiers were better walk with shoes on in the battlefields, because, terrain was often very non-balanced and like this, there was good and firm to walk. In accordance with this example, believers must accept, that God can clean our heart, so that the gospel can go forward through pure hearts, and that we can stand up on the battlefield.                                              

Believer must be under the protection of the shield of faith, whereby he could extinguish all the fiery darts of satan. In the days of apostle Paul in the wars were shot burning arrows towards enemies and if this kind of burning arrow hit to the soldier so the soldier wounded badly and in some cases soldier died to this burning arrow. Soldier had a high and big shield, which with the help of, he could protect himself. If against him was shot burning arrows and when he stayed behind the shield he was in protection and the shield stopped all burning arrows. The faith to God and living in the faith by the Spirit is the shield, which extinguish all burning arrows of satan, which has been directed against you. However, if you do not live from the faith, but you want to live in the sins so you are an open target to the burning arrow of satan and you can fall away from the faith and you will fall away unless you repent your sins. 

Believer must receive the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. The helmet of salvation comes to protect our mind against the sin. Believer must examine the word of God and to fill his thoughts on the word of God, because then the word can live in our heart and our mind and directs in the Holy Spirit our life in accordance with the word of God. If a believer fill his mind on filth of this world (violence films, sex films, porn movies, pulp magazines, human wisdom and with doctrines of evil spirits) so he is completely helpless and powerless to resist sin. Obedience and living in the Spirit protects you from the sin.

Be subject to God and resist satan and he must withdraw from you, James 7:4. You can say courageously to satan, when he teases you, withdraw satan by the name of Jesus Christ. satan has to give away before the winner, because Jesus won power of satan at death on the Calvary. Believer is the child of God and the word of God urges to resist satan, so that it would escape, for this reason resist satan by the name of Jesus Christ. However, if you do not want to be obedient to God, and you will want to live in the sins so using of the name of Jesus cannot help you when satan teases you. The Bible taught, that came to be obedient to God and after that obedience is authority resists satan, that he must flee. Using the whole armour of God must happen through praying in the Spirit. The prayer is like breathing and without it. We will die. Through the prayer we can bear good fruit. Believer must be patient in all, in that through patience, we born good fruit.

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience, Luke 8:15
